5. Baby Mop Romper

Unlike many of these products, the mop romper was actually meant to be a joke. Until, suddenly, it wasn’t a joke anymore but a real thing you can buy on Amazon for $40.
The idea started with a spoof ad from Japan, but it came to the attention of mainstream America when Saturday Night Life did a skit riffing on the idea of “Swiffer Sleepers” for babies. Novelty retailer BetterThanPants.com saw an opening and went for it, and they claim to sell a sizeable number of Baby Mop onesies. Unfortunately, the purchase price does not include the years of therapy the kids will need once their parents start posting pics of them dressed as a literal mop.
