4. Juicero

This one straddles the line between weird tech and just plain bad tech. What’s better than only drinking your meals like a car crash victim in a hospital bed? Paying more than $400 for the privelege! Juicero somehow convinced investor to give them $120 million dollars so they could make a blender. Said blender costs $400 a pop. It also only juices things out of a special fruit bag.
And then Bloomberg got their hands on one of said bags, literally, and squeezed it. This yielded roughly the same results as putting it in the $400 juicer. Yikes. Needless to say, we probably won’t be hearing about Juicero for much longer.
