    Best Hair Loss Remedies

Hair loss is more than just embarrassing, it’s downright frustrating. It can be absolutely infuriating to watch your appearance change despite your best efforts to prevent it from happening. Did you know that hair loss can be slowed down or even reversed?

While wearing hats and combing your hair a certain way can help, eventually you have to face the problem head-on. Medication, hair transplants, or natural remedies can help to slow or stop the loss of hair. Hair loss most commonly occurs when the hair follicle shrinks. As the hair grows shorter and thinner, the follicle eventually stops growing new hair. The good news is that while hair no longer grows, the follicles do remain alive. With the help of different treatments, there is the possibility to grow new hair again. If you’re having trouble with hair loss, try some of these hair loss remedies!

    Top Hair Loss Remedies

    Natural Methods

We recommend starting with simple, natural hair loss remedies. There are a variety of natural remedies you can try out if you’re having trouble with hair loss. Vitamin’s A, E and B are all known to encourage hair growth natural. Omega-3 is also a great natural way to encourage your hair to grow! Saw palmetto is another favorite natural remedy, as is massaging essential oils into the scalp. Finally, simply attempting to reduce your overall stress level, and combing and styling your hair gently, can help your hair grow and stick around!

    Rogaine

Rogaine is a highly-recommended medicinal treatment for hair loss. Minoxidil, as the drug is clinically called, has a satisfaction guarantee and is said to increase hair growth by 25% in three months. The medicine works over a long period of time, so patience is key! For those willing to stick with it, though, the treatment is said to be highly effective. It’s recommended, even after hair regrowth occurs, that you keep taking the medication to encourage the hair to not fall out again!

    Surgery

A more extreme measure for those with serious hair loss is transplant surgery. While it might sound drastic, it’s actually rather safe and has a high rate of success. The surgery itself takes four to eight hours, and it’s generally considered rather costly. It’s also not covered by most insurance, meaning it’s usually undertaken as a last resort for those who are unhappy with their hair. That said, if you’ve tried everything and none of it is working, this is a good final option to try out.

  • Monday Movie Review: Bad Times at the El Royale

Monday Movie Review: Bad Times at the El Royale

Hooray,  Its Monday. That means like most of you, and the rest of the free world, I got to hit the theaters over the weekend. I like to do this every weekend. I wanted to take a little bit of time to tell you my experience at the movies. Just a minute to shed a little insight and perspective on Hollywood’s latest hit. Seeing a great movie in the theater can be a life altering experience. It can also be an easy way to waste a couple of hours and 30 bucks. My hopes is that with a quick review, from this self proclaimed movie connoisseur, I can save readers  a few hours.  Or better yet, possibly change a few more lives. Last night I caught Bad Times at the El Royale.

Bad Times at the El Royale is a suspense thriller set in the El Royale hotel. Written and Directed by Drew Goddard ( Lost, Cloverfield, The Martian, Daredevil series, and The Cabin in the Woods) He is very, very  good.

For a quick summary, The El Royale is run-down hotel that sits on the border between California and Nevada. It soon becomes a seedy battleground when seven strangers — a cleric, a soul singer, a traveling salesman, two sisters, the manager and the mysterious Billy Lee — converge on a fateful night for one last shot at redemption before everything goes wrong.

Bad Times at the El Royale 83% Life Altering

For starters it has got Jon Hamm. He steals the opening scenes almost immediately and sets the stage for a fantastic movie. The Story is toned a little slow purposefully with quick, violent, unexpected pops and twist. Each character is mysterious as the El Royale itself. Any and all foreshadowing is very subtle and does not overexpose the film.

Everyone in the film is fantastic. They each own their characters and bring the depth to the next level. Jon Hamm takes a slight step from his usual stoic role to be a little more of a wild card. Jeff Bridges, the master, the dude, does exactly what Jeff Bridges does. A consummate professional that instantly makes any character he plays better. Cynthia Erivo is beautiful, talented singer named Darlene Sweet. Cynthia’s performance is ernest, delightful and on point. She is Darlene.

    Chris Thor Hemsworth

Enter in Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson and little Boots just to pepper the steak. It is fascinating the blend of story, visuals and characters. It’s done in such a way that movies just don’t take the time to do anymore. Then just when you think you can come to a conclusion about a small character it swings back adding in another set of fun emotions.

The only thing negative I can say about El Royale is that it at time does get slow and drags, but I can’t say that those scenes are not brilliant and needed. I loved the set up plot drivers that don’t get answered, It does not tie in to a neat little package. Or pretend to add some insight and perspective about our lives. For example the content of the mysterious tape, for one, was never shown directly to audiences in the crime thriller. Because? Who cares? Who cares what was in the briefcase in Pulp Fiction? It just is  Bad Times at the El Royale and nothing more.

    The Final Thought

Ive kept it quite vague intentionally, its to much fun to not let you experience it for yourself. All you know watching this is that you know nothing. Something is going on, something is gonna happen but what, who or why? All you know is it is going to be a bad night. It starts to feel a little Tarrentioish but snaps in to its own place and rocks it. It’s a Movie for movies sake with nothing to say but a good show. If you like Movies its an instant classic.

  • 7 Home Remedies for the Flu

7 Home Remedies for the Flu

Winter is coming! With the change in seasons comes a different group of viruses that flourish, and these viruses make people sick.  Being sick, even when you’re home in bed, isn’t fun. Flu symptoms can cause a world of misery, from fever and cough to sore throat, nasal congestion, aches, and chills.  But there are ways to feel better and flu remedies are ample and effective.

Prescription antiviral drugs may ease symptoms of the flu when taken shortly after you get sick. In many cases, however, simple home remedies may be all you need for relief of mild to moderate flu symptoms. Here are 10 natural remedies for the flu!

    Drink Up

The flu can leave you dehydrated, especially if have vomiting or diarrhea. So be sure to get enough fluids. Water is fine. So are fruit juices and electrolyte beverages. You may want to stay away from caffeinated drinks, because caffeine is a diuretic. Herbal tea with honey can soothe a sore throat. If you feel nauseated, try taking small sips of liquids — gulps might cause you to throw up.

    Sip Some Soup

For generations, caring parents have been serving chicken soup to kids with colds and flu. But was mom right? Possibly. A study published in the journal Chest showed that chicken soup may help with symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections like the flu.

    Be a Couch Potato

Listen to your body. If it’s telling you not to exercise, don’t. If it’s urging you to spend all day in bed, do. Don’t press on with daily chores even in the face of severe cold or flu symptoms. Rest is another way of supporting the body’s ability to fight infection. And don’t skimp on nighttime sleep. Good sleep cycles help the immune system work well, so it’s important to get your full eight hours of sleep each night.

    Humidify

Breathing moist air helps ease nasal congestion and sore throat pain. One good strategy is to indulge in a steamy shower several times a day — or just turn on the shower and sit in the bathroom for a few minutes, inhaling the steam. Another is to use a steam vaporizer or a humidifier. Clean it often to make sure it’s free of mold and mildew.

    Be a Sucker

Cough drops, throat lozenges, and hard candy can be surprisingly effective at easing a cough or sore throat. Some doctors swear by lozenges containing slippery elm. Others recommend zinc lozenges to help shorten cold symptoms.

    Swish and Spit

Gargling with salt water helps get rid of the thick mucus that can collect at the back of the throat, especially after you’ve been lying down. It can also help ease stuffy ears.

    Try Nasal Irrigation

To ease stuffiness and post-nasal drip — and perhaps cut the risk of getting a sinus infection — some doctors recommend nasal irrigation. You can buy a neti pot in health food stores and drugstores, or opt for a saline squeeze bottle. You pour salt water into one nostril and let it run out the other, clearing out your nasal passages. You can buy pre-made saline solution or make it by mixing salt and lukewarm sterile or distilled water.

  • Smartphone SpotLight: LG V40

    Smartphone SpotLight: LG V40

LG’s finest industrial design, power packed Android smartphone. The V40 is distinctive, modern, and stacked with desirable features, a phone seemingly destined for inevitable stardom. To cap off 2018, LG’s releasing the Lg V40. A 5 camera no-nonsense flagship that aims to take the best bits of the G7 from earlier in the year and improve upon them in every way possible.

    The Great

    • 5 cameras
    • Snapdragon 845 processor,
    • Massive OLED screen,
    • Excellent battery life,
    • Waterproof
    • Wireless charging,
    • MicroSD storage
    • A headphone jack on a phone.

    The Not

    • Awkward to hold
    • Slow camera autofocus
    • Nothing Special

    The Conclusion

The LG V40 is a terrific alternative to the iPhone XR and Huawei Mate 10. More than that, it is described more accurately as a blend of the 2. But with 5 cameras.

    Jack of All Trades

Want a sleek, durable handset that’s practically all screen. A device with gobs of performance, super long battery life, an amazing camera and a headphone jack. How about water resistance, wireless charging, microSD expandable storage and support for any cellular carrier, too? This is it. The V40 will reportedly feature five different cameras, two on the front and three on the back. The triple camera setup on the back will apparently be arranged similarly to the P20 Pro, featuring a standard lens, wide angle lens, and a third lens that could be for bokeh effects.

    The 5 Cameras

The biggest feature of the V40 is its five-camera setup — three sensors on the back and two on the front. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an Android phone with this many cameras, but that doesn’t take away from LG’s implementation whatsoever.

    • Rear camera 1 — 12MP main sensor with OIS and f/1.5 aperture
    • R camera 2 — 16MP wide-angle lens with f/1.7
    • R camera 3 — 12MP telephoto 2x zoom lens with f/2.4
    • Front camera 1 — 8MP main sensor with f/1.9
    • F camera 2 — 5MP wide-angle shooter with f/2.2

    That Screen

The only thing that sets LG’s phones apart is there screen. They have the best looking and highest quality OLED screen on the smartphone line up. It gets as bright or clear as Samsung’s screen outdoors but with a crisper more attractive color segment. OLED stands for “organic light-emitting diodes,” and it’s very different from the popular LCD screen technology seen in most phones recent years.

The V40 uses an LG-made OLED display, and while past LG panels on the V30 and Pixel 3 XL have left us yearning for more, that’s not the case with the V40. This screen is robust and beautiful and can display true, actual blacks. LG does a lot of things right here, offering a truly beautiful display, fast internals, great cameras, and an exquisite design. The small(ish) battery and high price tag are definitely downsides to keep in mind, but even so, this is a phone that should absolutely be on your shortlist this holiday shopping season

The Design, Don’t let it Slip

The back of the LG V40 is made out of glass, and while just about every Android flagship has this same construction, LG’s done something unique to make the V40 stand out. The LG V40 has almost nothing in common with the V Series phones that have come before it. The only thing remaining from the Second Screen is a floating widget. The metal back and giant chins have been replaced with glass and slim bezels. Everything that was sharp and industrial is now more premium and svelte. It’s a gorgeous design that is absolutely stunning, Its sleek and by sleek I mean slippery. It will slip through your fingers like star systems slipping through Grand Moff Tarkens fingers.

    LG V40 Quick Spec Look

    The Final Thought

Instead of straying from the pack, the LG V40 blends in with this year’s fleet of flagships. LG finally decided to stop playing around with gimmicks and made the best phone they possibly could. It has everything you wants but lacks the thing you didn’t know about, and that is where it fails. The V40 has a tough road ahead if it wants to stand out, but if you give the phone a chance, you just might be impressed with what you see. Pre-orders for the LG V40 are open now with full retail availability as of October 18. The phone ranges from $900 to $980 depending on where you buy it, making it one of the most expensive flagships of the year.

  • Buy a Xbox One, Get a Free Echo Dot

Buy a Xbox One, Get a Free Echo Dot

Alexa has some very new and awesome skills for Xbox One and Amazon is celebrating the occasion. Amazon will offer its updated Echo Dot for free with the purchase of an Xbox One S or Xbox One X console while supplies last. Normally a $49 purchase by itself, getting Amazon’s tiny speaker tossed in for free with a new Xbox purchase. This a great added perk if you are looking to buy a Xbox One.

Need a Reason to Buy a Xbox One

The New echo 3 is part of Amazons Echo line up update. I’m sure you saw the article on Goodfind.guru about the Echo Auto already. The new Echo Dot is set to release on October 18th. Amazon says you may get it early if you buy an Xbox one. Amazon says buyers who receive their Echo Dot and Xbox One bundle will “vary based on customer location and their proximity to the inventory.” For many, it’s likely that the Xbox One console and Echo Dot will arrive in separate boxes. Once you have both set up, you’ll need to update your new Xbox to utilize.

Amazon went wild it its release of the new Echo devices. At its surprise event in September, the company released a slew of smart home products ranging from wall clocks to microwaves and lots in between. Amazon also introduced the premium Echo Plus, its most powerful Echo speaker.

    The Final Thought

Starting October 12, “qualified” Xbox One S and Xbox One S systems purchased through Amazon.com will also come with an Amazon Echo Dot at no extra cost, Microsoft announced. This is the new Amazon Echo Dot, which normally goes for $50 by itself. There are some bundle options that would let you include an extra controller and NBA2k19 for the low low of $399. That includes the Alex echo when you buy a Xbox one on Amazon. This is officially the best Deal to buy a Xbox One and hopefully will carry through the holidays. Finally with this Alexa support I can ditch the Kinect

Good sleep cycles help the immune system work well, so it’s important to get your full eight hours of sleep each night.

Also, if you have any flexibility in your schedule, try putting different dates into the sites’ ticket finders to see if that makes a difference. For example, currently, Southwest Airlines is offering flights as low as $73, and Delta is offering flights as low as $39 during the holiday season.

    Use Reputable Flight Search Engines

Some flight search engines actually get a cut from airlines when they help generate sales. That means that you could search for “budget flights” and have normal or even premium flights show up. In order to counter this, use reputable search engines that don’t mislead you. Great options are Skyscanner, Momondo, AirWander and JetRadar. Like we said previously don’t be afraid to shop around to find the best price.

    Get Tickets Early

Get your tickets early — but not too early. You may think it would be smart to buy tickets six months in advance, but in fact, getting tickets more than five months before you need them may keep you from getting the best fares. Aim for two to four months in advance, if possible. If you can’t plan that far in advance, at least try to avoid the two-week period right before a flight, when ticket prices tend to go up.

Specialty sites like “air fare watch dog” provide a medium for you to search for deals between two specific locations, and also can send you alerts when prices drop to a much more affordable rate. This is perfect for those who know where they want to travel, just are not too concerned about when. They can snag a great deal and plan their trip once they get that informative e-mail from the website.

    Airport Selection

Fly in or out of airports that are not in your destination city. If you are flying into New York City, you may be able to get cheaper fares at the Newark airport than you would in New York City’s JFK Airport. If you are going to or from San Francisco, try the Oakland or San Jose airports. Many other cities also have airports that are nearby but outside of the city limits. Flying out of an alternate airport isn’t even necessarily a hardship. For example, If you are going to some parts of Manhattan, ground transportation may get you there faster from Newark than from JFK.

You will benefit on price, though, because not as many people will think of using the other airports, so the seats won’t sell out as quickly. Always think in terms of supply and demand when trying to find cheap airfare.

    Non-Direct Flights

Accept a little inconvenience in exchange for a cheaper price. You may be able to save money on long trips by taking routes where you change planes rather than taking a non-stop flight. If you’re not in a hurry, you don’t need to pay a premium for the faster route. Try traveling lighter to avoid the luggage fees that so many airlines are charging now. Be creative in figuring out how to get by with fewer things on your trip.

    Incognito Mode

Lock up your search history tight and don’t look back. When you start looking at flights and trips, make sure you’re in incognito mode. When you search for flight prices, sites use cookies to track how many times you’ve looked at the flight. Each new time you look, the price goes up. Why? Well, to get you to buy as soon as possible so you “lock in the lowest price.” Yeah, it’s dirty, but you can fight back!

By browsing incognito, you won’t have any cookies tracking you. This allows you to bypass this dirty trick and get a better price for your flight!

Find the Cheapest Days to Book

Try to fly on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, if possible. Those are often the cheapest days of the week. If possible, avoid Fridays and Sundays, when rates tend to go up. Flying right before a major holiday, like Thanksgiving or Christmas, is going to be very expensive. But if you are able to fly on the day of the holiday itself, you can usually pick up some very cheap fares because not many people want to fly then.
