    Best Razor Deals

Save money by ordering razors and cartridges online! As drugstore brand razors continue to go up in price, many consumers have turned to online refill programs to satisfy their shaving needs. In addition to Gillette’s online subscription program, startups like Harry’s and Dollar Shave Club have also carved out niches for themselves in this market.

Before joining one of these programs, it is always a great idea to find out the pros and cons of each. If you are looking for great deals and a more cost-effective shave experience, look at Harry’s, Dollar Shave Club, and Gillette Shave Club. Their deals are much better than those at your local drug store but make sure you know what you’re getting before you sign up!

    Harry’s

Harry’s is a pioneer in the online razor industry, offering a free trial period prior to any ordering. They have a variety of different packages available, with great deals on starter sets for $15 or around $25 for additional shave cream. The razors are available in both a sleek, brightly colored plastic model, or in shiny metals depending on your taste. They also offer a variety of different accessories such as pre and post-shaving lotions and toners. This website allows members to order on an as-needed basis or sign up for a subscription that ships out product on a regular schedule. If you opt for the as-needed ordering, they will send you reminder emails around the time that you are likely running low on blades. This is a great option for shavers who are curious about the online refill program but aren’t quite ready to commit.

    Dollar Shave Club

Dollar Shave Club is a boutique company that was recently sold to consumer goods behemoth, Unilever, for $1 billion dollars! Consumers can choose between monthly delivery or they can receive their razors every other month which is a nice bit of flexibility. For a low price of $6 a month, you can receive a pack of four quad-blade razors. The razors themselves don’t last for a significantly long time, making the four-pack a great choice for guys who shave every other day or less often. There are other programs with a larger number of blades available at higher price points. DSC prides itself on responsive customer service and is known to just “make things right” when there is an issue with delivery or damaged products in a way that many companies don’t do. This is a great program for anyone looking for a good range of products and delivery options.

    Gillette

Gillette saw the writing on the wall and has entered the subscription razor refill game. While their razors are offered at a much higher price point than their other online program competitors, starting at around $25, it is still a better deal than what you will find at your local drugstore. There are three different plans that are available, giving joiners a choice in razors, and in the frequency of delivery. Subscribers can also order a one-time shipment if they want to check everything out before committing to a subscription.

  • FIND AARP DENTAL PLANS

    FIND AARP DENTAL PLANS

As a newly retired senior, you’re probably exploring all of your dental options. Dental coverage is still important as a senior. In fact, seniors are often more prone to dental problems.

With costs skyrocketing and incomes remaining fixed for seniors, affording the routine and emergency dental care you need is becoming increasingly burdensome. Luckily, new options for dental discounts for seniors have become available.

What Should Your Senior Dental Plan Cover?

As you’re looking for a dental plan to provide you with affordable dental care, consider these common senior dental problems so you know what your plan should cover or discount.

    Common Senior Dental Problems
    Gum disease
    Darkened teeth
    Root decay
    Diminished sense of taste
    Dry mouth
    Loss of teeth
    Uneven jawbone
    Tissue inflammation with dentures
    Oral cancer
    Thrush

Whether you’ve encountered these dental problems yet or not, finding a dental plan that addresses these treatments is good preparation for what may be to come.

The Truth About Medicare Dental Coverage

Medicare does not cover routine dental care for adults 65 and over. By law, Medicare is prohibited from paying for cleanings, fillings, crowns, dentures, and most other dental work. Although there are a few exceptions, you will never be able to look to Medicare as a source of dental insurance for seniors. Fortunately, there are other senior dental plan options to consider.

    AARP Plans

Seniors who belong to the AARP can find exclusive dental insurance offers to get through their golden years with strong, pain-free mouths. AARP dental insurance gives you access to the most knowledgeable and thorough providers, giving you the confidence, you need to get those routine checkups done and uncomfortable procedures finished with dignity and convenience. Maintaining good dental health is just one more thing seniors can do to be more independent and live more comfortably. With AARP, you have the option to choose between PPOs, prepaid dental plans, and discount plans. To learn more about the best options for seniors, read on to learn more about AARP dental insurance.

    PPO Plans

PPOs, also known as preferred provider organizations, give you a lot of freedom when it comes to choosing your own provider. While your dental professional of choice will most likely be covered under your PPO plan, you will receive even greater discounts and copay rates if you select a provider within the PPOs particular network. With a PPO’s in-network provider, you’ll know ahead of time how much you’ll have to pay out of pocket for your various dental needs, such as routine cleanings, X-rays, cavity fillings, root canals, and crowns. The contract the provider signed with the PPO will ensure that you never get scammed by a dentist or have to pay more than you expected.

    HMO Plans

Prepaid dental plans are more commonly known as HMOs. HMOs are a little bit more restricting, but they do tend to be more affordable. With an HMO, you choose your dentist and all dental care will be coordinated through that specific dentist. For example, if you need to see an oral surgeon, your dentist will refer you and fill out any potential preauthorizations that need to be addressed before your insurance will cover it. You can choose a specific dental clinic as well, allowing you to see any dentist or specialist within the clinic without requiring a preauthorization.

    Convenient Plans

Discount plans are rarely the most affordable, but they can be the most convenient for you if you have the money. These plans are technically not insurance. Instead, these “plans” offer you serious discounts on services and you pay out of pocket. These plans can offer discounts on any kind of dental work you may require, from cleanings to crowns. However, what you save in monthly premiums could be spent on expensive dental treatment if the work required on your teeth or gums is extensive. AARP dental insurance plans are to make sure that you save money.
For seniors, one of the hardest aspects of growing older is the loss of function or strength. While most people immediately think of the body, many people forget that the mouth is arguably the most important part of the body. Dental hygiene and maintenance is absolutely essential not only when it comes to extending your life but also to maintaining or increasing your quality of life. Many people think of the senior caricature of needing dentures or missing teeth. The truth is, many seniors don’t lose their teeth, or even if they do, they don’t lose enough to need full dentures. To avoid such cliche deterioration in your mouth and jaw, you need quality dental insurance.

Depending on the options and models, the Intimidator UTV can run up $22,000.00. That’s actually more expensive than an older model Ford F-250. But with that price tag, you are getting the best of the best. And the intimidator can go many places and do many things a large truck cannot. Hence its true value. If I get to a point where I can justify one of these babies, you better believe Santa will be bringing me one.

    The New War-Bird

In a Fly-Off to see which plane would become the U.S. Military’s new Light Attack War-Bird, The EMB Super Tucano and the AT-6 Wolverine went head to head to show us what they got. After impressive flying and displaying combat skills, it appears the EMB 314 Super Tucano will win the bid to be the new “Light Attack Aircraft” as of 2019. The Sierra Nevada aircraft company was awarded the $1.5 billion dollar US Contract indefinitely. The company was “awarded a ceiling $1,808,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract for potential procurement, sustainment, modifications, ferry, and related equipment for the A-29,”

The warbirds main purpose will be to perform in small, quick, intermediate counter-insurgency mission. This will be to further assist our efforts in Afghanistan, while greatly reducing cost in the aircraft department as the F22 Raptor cost around $339 Million dollars each to produce. The a-29’s will be produced in Jacksonville, FL and at the U.S. Kabul base as well.

Image result for a29 super tucano

    What can she do?

According to Air Force Officials: A-29s are turboprop planes armed with one 20mm cannon below the fuselage able to shoot 650 rounds per minute, one 12.7mm machine gun (FN Herstal) under each wing and up to four 7.62mm Dillion Aero M134 Miniguns able to shoot up to 3,000 rounds per minute. Super Tucanos are also equipped with 70mm rockets, air-to-air missiles such as the AIM-9L Sidewinder, air-to-ground weapons such as the AGM-65 Maverick and precision-guided bombs. It can also use a laser rangefinder and laser-guided weapons. The Super Tucano is a highly maneuverable light attack aircraft able to operate in high temperatures and rugged terrain. It is 11.38 meters long and has a wingspan of 11.14 meters; its maximum take-off weight is 5,400 kilograms. The aircraft has a combat radius of 300 nautical miles, can reach speeds up to 367 mph and hits ranges up to 720 nautical miles. It’s main purpose and functions are as follows:

Image result for a29 super tucano

Basic Surface Attack – Assess impact accuracy using hit/miss criteria of practice/laser-guided bomb, and unguided/guided rockets
    – Close Air Support (CAS) – Assess ability to find, fix, track target and engage simulated operational targets while communicating with the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
    – Daytime Ground Assault Force (GAF) – assess aircraft endurance, range, ability to communicate with ground forces through unsecure and secure radio and receive tactical updates
    – Rescue Escort (RESCORT) – Assess pilot workload to operate with a helicopter, receive area updates and targeting data, employ ballistic, unguided/guided rockets and laser-guided munitions
    – Night CAS – Assess pilot workload to find, fix, track, target and engage operational targets

    Summary

I think this is a great new way of conserving our military budget and allocating the funds into other much needed areas of the department. Because we have become so advanced and superior with our aircrafts, most of their functions could be considered “overkill” and not necessarily the most efficient. Additionally, I just love the old “Warbird” style aircrafts and glad to see they can still be utilized in this day and age. Would love to get a chance to see one up close!

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is making changes Pt. 1

    Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay

Since it’s grand opening in 1959,  Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has had it’s up and downs as a theme park. It struggled its first few years to find it’s identity and integrate more attractions along with the wildlife conservation platform. For years, it served as a petting zoo on steroids that also served great beers. for several decades, Busch Gardens was owned and operated by the Anheuser-Busch Company. When Anheuser-Busch sold the theme park to Seaworld Entertainment, a lot of new life blood was pumped into the park. It seemed like overnight the park added several new roller coasters and attractions, all while staying true to its conservation and wildlife preservation staples. As of September 12, 2018 Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced two more attractions that hopefully will keep attendance up.

    The Tigris

Busch Gardens will open Florida’s tallest launch coaster in spring 2019, company officials announced Wednesday. The triple-launch, tiger-themed roller coaster called Tigris will hurl riders 150 feet into the sky, turn them upside down and swirl through curves at 60 miles per hour. Project manager Andrew Schaffer commented on the Tigris: “It’s going to launch you forward out of the station, up the tower. It’s going to stop and then come backward through the station and launch you backward up the other tower. You’ll get about three-quarters of the way up that tower and then come back down again and launch over 60 miles per hour one last time, forward through the station. And that will take you one last time up to the top of the ride, 150 feet in the air. Then you will have a slow inversion called a heartline roll.”

There are several similar types of these launch coasters scattered throughout the states, and they don’t seemed to disappoint the roller coaster enthusiasts. It’ll be a great addition along with the newly added Sheikra, Falcon Fury, The Cobra’s Curse, The Montu, and the legendary Kumba. Busch Gardens Tampa understands that people come for the animals, but come back for the roller coasters. We’ll Touch based on what else is being added by Busch Gardens in the next installment…

  • Best Moisturizer with SPF

    Best Moisturizer with SPF

Everyone uses face moisturizers, but not all moisturizers are created equally. Many do not give you the protection you need. So, today we are looking at the best moisturizers with SPF protection!

The “best” face moisturizer for one person might be the worst for someone else.  It is important to know your own specific skin type before you buy anything to put on, especially on your face. Best practice would most likely be applying high quality face moisturizer and a high quality SPF lotion separate from one another, but for time’s sake, these moisturizers have the SPF already in them to save you time in your routine.

The Best Oil-Free Moisturizer With SPF

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture With SPF35 Sunscreen:

If you are one with predominately oily skin, this product might be one to check out.  People that use oil based moisturizers on already oily skin could end up with unwanted breakouts.  They also have a SPF 70 version of this product, for those of you who need extra protection.  Best to use this product right after you get done washing your face. This will leave your skin very soft, clear, and free from redness. Excellent product much more reasonably priced than others on the market.

The Best Moisturizer With SPF for Sensitive Skin

Olay Complete Daily Defense All Day Moisturizer With Sunscreen SPF30 Sensitive Skin:

You probably have sensitive skin if you found this article in the first place. If you do, finally, a 30 SPF sun lotion with moisturizer that does not smell, does not make your eyes sting and does not make your mouth taste like suntan lotion.

The Best Illuminating Moisturizer With SPF

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Facial Moisturizer With Broad Spectrum SPF 30:

This one is a great all around daily moisturizer. It controls oily skin and it has very little specks of shimmer (don’t worry, you can barely see it) that make your skin look flawless. There is a slight herbal scent, but you can’t smell it after a minute or so. It works great under makeup because it isn’t oily.

The Best Brightening Moisturizer With SPF

RoC Multi Correxion 5 In 1 Anti-Aging Daily Face Moisturizer for Skin Discoloration SPF 30:

If you are like the majority of us, I am sure you have tried many other creams for lightening spots, but this product really works well on lightening those brown spots. It’s very lightweight but hydrates perfectly. If this one works for you and your skin, they also have a night cream that can enhance the effects.

The Best Tinted Moisturizer With SPF

Paula’s Choice Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 Tinted Matte Moisturizer:

This one is very easy to apply and has a bit of a sheer tint to it.  It won’t necessarily make you look darker, it just won’t look like you’re wearing regular white sunscreen. It never leaves you too greasy, it makes your skin feel and look like your skin. It won’t leave you oily at all and it absorbs really fast. You can even apply regular moisturizer underneath from time to time during the winter, and it still won’t let your skin get greasy or shiny. For very oily, acne-prone skin, when using this product, your skin’s oil production slows down. This one doesn’t let your face get shiny too fast at all.

The Best Longwear Moisturizer With SPF

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense 24-Hour Face Moisturizer With Hyaluronic Acid SPF 20:

Do you still find that you get dry patches when using other moisturizers? This one is an impressive one if you typically have predominately dry skin. This one will keep your makeup looking fresh and hydrated. If you are looking for moisturizer that feels like it’s working and leaves your skin looking healthy without all the grease, this one might be the one for you.

The Best SPF Moisturizer With Added Ceramides

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30:

This one definately has some of the best ingredients out of any expensive face cream or moisturizer. you have other ones to do ‘extra’ stuff when you need it, but this is the best everyday one for a lot of CeraVe belivers. The ingredients have hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and niacinamides, which are awesome for your skin, and if you look at more expensive creams, they usually only boast ONE of those three…this lotion has three in one! It is light but holds moisture in, and will not break you out. This has the potential to work better for you than some expensive moisturizer (including Korean skin care) because it is so simple.

The Best SPF Moisturizer With Retinol

Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer With Retinol SPF 20:

Use this cream under your eyes, between eyebrows, around the mouth and nose, and on your neck. Put the cream on after a shower once a day, rarely skipping a day. You will notice you have to use it for quite a while, but it will do amazing things. The skin tone under your eyes will have gained so much elasticity, you will be blown away, to tell you the truth. You never expected such a good outcome because you have used other products and they simply did not live up to what they said their products would do, but … you will notice without any doubt that this product has vastly improved the condition of your skin where you applied the cream, especially under your eyes. Previous customers told us they have considered some type of under-eyelid surgery or acid peel because they hated how many fine wrinkles they had under my eyes, but this product has smoothed those out and made them look so much younger. You will be so happy that you got it and used it so often for this long, it was worth the wait.

The Best Moisturizer With SPF 50+

Replenix Antioxidant Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 50:

This sunscreen triples as a moisturizer, tint, and sunscreen — and your skin will look improved after using it for a few weeks, due to the other antioxidants and good stuff in it. These products are superior for sensitive, aging skin, especially if you tend to break out. The moisturizer is pleasant, clean, and easy to use — and reasonably priced given the great quality in each product.

  • Don’t Overpay For K-Cups – Find The Best Online Deals

Don’t Overpay For K-Cups – Find The Best Online Deals

Need coffee? K-cups are the most convenient and fastest way to get your daily dose of caffeine in the morning. Great for people always on the go, K-Cups are a godsend to working people and stay-at-home parents everywhere.

Available in grocery stores and other retail stores nationwide, K-Cups have come to dominate the coffee industry. With tons of K-Cup options and accessories available, you can find any flavor and type of coffee you can imagine, making for a whole lot of options, and with K-Cup refill filters, you can use any brand of coffee you prefer and save money. If you are interested in learning more about K-Cups where to get them at the best prices, read more below.

When they first came out, there were only a few choices of K-Cups available, now there are literally hundreds to choose from. You can find Keurig brand K-Cups at most stores including popular flavors such as Keurig’s Donut Shop coffee. If you aren’t sure which cups you might like, you can purchase a variety sample pack, just like the ones you might find included with your Keurig machine. If you already have a coffee brand you prefer, you can find both home-brew brands like Folgers and Café Bustelo, and coffee shop brands like Starbucks, Peet’s Coffee and Dunkin Donuts in a variety of their flavors. With these conveniently ready-to-brew pods, you can make coffee almost instantly – just turn on your Keurig coffee machine, load the pod, press the button and you’ll have a piping hot cup of coffee in less than a minute.

    How You Are Overpaying Now

When it comes to replenishing your supply, there are a few different ways to go about it. The most expensive way is to buy your K-Cups in the store. Often, you’ll find K-cups in packs of 10 for around $6 or $7, but this is not the most economical option. This brings you to $0.70 per cup of coffee…

    How to Save Now

When it comes to saving money, the key is to buy the larger boxes because, the more you buy, the more you can save in the long run. While the packs of 10 are great for trying out certain flavors, you can buy larger boxes of 60 to 75 K-Cups for $35 to $40 in wholesale stores like Costco, in some grocery stores like Ralphs, or even online from websites like Amazon. Doing this could bring you to $0.50 per cup of coffee or less, saving you almost a quarter each cup that you drink. If you are anything like our staff at GoodFind, that savings adds up very quickly.

With Amazon, you can subscribe and save on K-Cups, having your preferred brand and flavor ordered and shipped to you automatically each month. Another option for subscription services is to use Keurig’s Auto-Delivery service that allows you to buy all Keurig branded cups as often as you like with a savings of 25% off. There’s also premium coffee subscription services like Coffee cargo, where you can try premium coffees that you can’t get anywhere else.

    Other Options

Another great way to fill up is with refillable options. With K-Cup refillable pods and filters, you can use literally any coffee you prefer, because you can add your own ground coffee into the pod. This is a great way to get that same fresh ground taste right out of your Keurig machine. Refillable K-Cups called GoodCups can be purchased through Amazon and are loaded into the same spot where you would put your disposable K-Cups. Coffee Bean N Leaf Brews makes another great refillable coffee pod that is completely reusable and dishwasher safe. Of course, Keurig also makes their own refillable pod: the Keurig My K-Cup that allows you to use your own gourmet coffee by adding it to the filter provided. Replace the filter with the pod loader attached to your machine and you are ready to go. Using any refillable pod is not only a great way to have your favorite coffee not available in disposable cups, but it’s also great for the environment too!

Keurig Green Mountain said it plans by 2020 to change the plastic composition in the billions of K-cup single-serving coffee containers it sells annually, making them more lucrative to recyclers while removing one of the nagging complaints that mountains of the little pods are piling up in landfills.

“Our goal is 100 percent Keurig K-cup pods diverted from landfills by curbside recycling,” said Monique Oxender, the coffee brewer’s chief sustainability officer. “The consumer is going to brew it, peel and empty it, and pop the pod into the recycling bin in the same behavior they would do with a yogurt cup. We want them to make it a habit.”

Atrial fibrillation is a condition that causes the heart to beat at an irregular rate. A normal heat rate should be around 60 to 100 beats minute, when at rest.

A person suffering from atrial fibrillation (AF) will have a higher heart beat that is often irregular. Some common symptoms for atrial fibrillation include, dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea and fatigue. In some cases, people with atrial fibrillation may fail to exhibit any symptoms. While the exact cause of the condition is not yet established, medical research shows that it is mostly associated with unhealthy lifestyle choices such as excessive smoking and drinking. People with pre-existing conditions such as atherosclerosis or high blood pressure are also at a higher risk of suffering from atrial fibrillation. Statistics indicate that the condition is common in older adults of 65 years and above. While a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation may not be life threatening, it should be managed with the appropriate treatment. Below are some treatments that are effective for atrial fibrillation.

A normal functioning heart should have regular rhythm that is controlled by electrical currents on a set path within the heart. However, in the case of AF condition, the electric currents fail to follow the set path and instead become erratic throughout the atria. This causes a person to experience heart palpitations as a result of the irregular heart rhythm. In such cases, the doctor will recommend drugs that will help regulate the heart rhythm. Drugs used to regulate the heart rhythm and also prevent recurring episodes of AF are called antiarrhythmic drugs. There are two basic antiarrhythmic drugs; potassium channel blockers and sodium channel blockers. The doctor will administer treatment or drugs depending on the severity of the problem. In most cases, the treatment is administered within the hospital where the patient can be monitored closely. Medication recommended for controlling heart rhythm include propfenone, flecainide, sotalol and amiodarone.
An irregular heart rate is among the common symptoms of AF. Medical experts note that ensuring the AF patients have a regular heart rate is the first step towards a successful treatment. If goes untreated, person suffering from irregular heart rate can succumb to stroke or other cardiovascular conditions. Irregular heart rate on AF patients can be regulated and managed with the appropriate medication. In most AF cases, beta blockers are administered to control and regulate the heart rate. Some of the beta blockers recommended include Timolol, Nadolol, Propranolol, Metoprolol, Atenolol and Bisoprolol.

Calcium channel blockers are also used to slow down the heart rate in AF patients as well as reduce the strength of muscle cell contractions. Some of the medication recommended include Verapamil, Digoxin and Dilitiazem.

Studies show that AF patients are at increased risk of suffering from stroke. A stroke occurs when blood pools onto the upper chambers of the heart (the atria) causing a clot which travels onto the brain causing the stroke. As such, doctors usually focus on preventing blood clots of any form in patients suffering from AF. The best medication for preventing and treating blood clots is blood thinners. Studies indicate that AF patients on blood thinners show significant improvement as well have reduced chances of forming blood clots. Doctors will recommend different blood thinners depending on the severity of a particular patient. There are basically two blood thinners are commonly used; antiplatelet and anticoagulant drugs. Anticoagulant drugs are designed to extend the time it takes for one’s blood to clot. Some commonly used anticoagulant drugs are dabigatran, edoxaban, warfarin and rivaroxaban. Anti-platelet drugs are also effective in the prevention of blood clots. The drugs are designed to interfere with clot-enhancing platelets in the blood. Commonly recommended antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, anagrelide, tirofiban, prasugrel and vorapaxar.

Doctors agree that cases of atrial fibrillation can significantly reduce if people adopt healthier lifestyles early on and also have regular medical check-ups.
