    AT&T’s 5G Updates

We have 3 big 5g news updates from AT&T’s 5G this week. They seem to be the front runner for the next gen network with a very organized and aggressive expansion model. I have talked about the benefits, Upgrades and all-encompassing human evolution that will come with AT&T’s 5G network many times already. This news update about AT&T’s 5G network is very exciting as we track the progression and implementation. Let’s take a look at what they got for us.

    New Cities

We already know AT&T’s 5G rollout will include Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Raleigh and Waco. However just today AT&T announced the remaining cities to receive mobile 5G through the end of 2018. Congratulations, Houston, Jacksonville, Louisville, New Orleans and San Antonio. This makes a total of 12 major US cities to get the next gen network this year. On top of that, the company also revealed cities that would receive the service in early 2019: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose. As a central FL resident I’m super stoked to be able to be an early adopter of AT&T’s 5G network.

    Data Transmission

Second up in the update is that The company is stating that they are also exploring a new millimeter wave for 5G; AT&T was successful in making the first millimeter wave wireless 5G connection using standards-based production equipment. The company is planning on utilizing the 5G technology in densely populated areas; it can deliver high speeds under varying conditions.

    AT&T’s 5G AirGig

Lastly we have Project AirGig. AT&T also has an update on Project AirGig,. AirGig Is how AT&T will deliver 5G to rural users. No longer will high speed connections be just for the urban markets. It uses various types of technology, such as low-cost plastic antennas, mounted on top of existing infrastructure, such as utility poles. The company is now ready to begin testing and building commercial-grade equipment for Project AirGig.

    The Final Thought

Everyday its gets more real, These updates to AT&T’s 5G network are huge advancements and great indicators we are almost there. AT&T’s AirGig idea shows us the prior failures of previous network upgrades won’t be experienced again. I know it won’t be a perfect rollout but it looks like it will be swifter and easier than in the past.

  • Apple’s AirPods 2

    Apple’s AirPods 2

More News From Apple’s annual fall launch event on Sept. 12. It is expansively expected to bring new iPhones, you know already, we have talked all about them. Then the Apple Watch 4, you saw that too im sure. What you haven’t realized is that Tuesdays event also effectively marks the second anniversary of the Apple AirPods.  Everyone laughed about their design when they were first unveiled in 2016, but now the AirPods have taken the headphone market, become the standard of the in ear design, and made apple billions more. So what does Apple do for an encore? AirPods 2 of course.

What Can we Expect from the AirPods 2

Yes Tuesday we will see Tim Cook unveil the AirPods 2. You are probably asking yourself whats left to say about the AirPods that we haven’t said already.. What could be improved? The answer is this: improve on the existing product with software advancements and accessories. Then maybe expand the line with new models, too. Both AirPods 2 and larger, Apple-branded noise-cancelling headphones have been rumored over the past few months. We are even hearing some bone conductive sound chatter.

Even Though we will get the announcement Tuesday, AirPods 2 are not coming before early 2019. Just don’t expect them till next year, Apple is always very slow with their accessory roll outs. We do know that the set will feature some sort of water-proofing as well as an elaborate noise-cancellation system. Expect a Wireless charging case. Last year when the charging pad was revealed they have the Airpods case laying on it, however now wireless charging Airpods case was ever released.

    The Final Airpods 2 Thought

They will boast a new line with the water-resistant and noise-canceling features, wireless charging, new color options and possible bone conductive sound… Im expecting a slight price hike from the already unfathomable $129 price point to a ridiculous $159. But then again Apple has been know to upgrade a device and drop the price to make it the universal headphone truth. See you next Tuesday.

  • Tablet Talk: Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet

Tablet Talk: Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet

AMAZON has another new tablet to add to its expansive range with the launch of  Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet and this device includes a new feature that should make it a whole lot more useful. Here’s full details about the Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet including price, release and specs.

    The Great

    • Up to 10 hours of battery life, A
    • Vibrant 8″ HD display
    • 1.3 GHz quad-core processor
    • 1.5 GB of RAM
    • Dolby Audio
    • 2x as durable as the iPad Mini 4.
    • Alexa Voice enabled

    The Not

    • Basic
    • Entry level tablet
    • The battery life drops from last year’s 12 hours to 10 hours

    The Conclusion

From a quick glance, there’s not much to differentiate this latest tablet from its predecessors but the HD 8 has a very neat trick up its sleeve with something called ‘Show Mode’.

We have an update here.  Amazon has offered truly hands-free Alexa on the Fire HD 10 tablet, but never on its 8-inch model. Which means you have had to wake it up firs. Not an issue but mildly annoying. Those days are a thing of the past with an updated Fire HD 8. The new model blasts its always-on Alexa feature. a Feature that lets you voice directions even when the device is asleep. Yes this in fact is almost like turning it into an impromptu Echo speaker. This does in fact reduce your battery life, but you can turn off the always-available feature if that extra running time is valuable.

Perhaps one of the greatest other features of the new HD 8 is its price which starts at just $79.99. This rises to $109.88 for those that want the Show Mode Charging Dock bundled with the device. The all-new Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet comes in four colour options: Black, Marine Blue, Punch Red, and Canary Yellow, and is available for pre-order beginning today with it shipping on October 4.

    Introducing Show Mode

Show Mode is a new, immersive hands-free Alexa experience for your Fire HD 8 that provides full-screen landscape visuals that complement voice responses from Alexa. Show Mode lets you ask Alexa to see trending news, make calls, check the weather, view camera feeds, and more—all glanceable whether you’re up close or across the room. Show Mode is available with free software update.

    The Final Thought

That’s all there really is to this update to the Amazon’s Fire HD 8 tablet. Just some Alexa support and functionality and this Show mode that  basically transforms the tablet into a smart home device with the screen instantly being switched to show useful data such as local weather, news and your upcoming events. Still no Paul Bettany voiced alarm clock reading me the news, weather, traffic and a run down of my schedule. I mean would that be so hard Amazon?

  • APPLE WATCH SERIES 4; What We know Already

APPLE WATCH SERIES 4; What We know Already

Everyone is talking about the 3 new iPhones we will see next week, what we are not hearing a lot of chatter about is the new Apple Watch series 4. While the iPhone  models this year are just an iteration, things are very different for the Apple Watch. From what we are hearing this will be a major redesign of the Apple watch. The first redesign of the apple watch if you have been paying attention.

It has been 5 years since the original apple watch has been released. It has had some monumental success but all of us have been waiting for the next model. It has always seemed like they were just one last upgraded model from the revolutionary device we have been waiting for. This has me very excited. Lets break down what the changes will look like for the Apple Watch series 4. The Apple Watch series 4 is also expected to offer an LTE model as well, similar to last year’s Series 3, although with a more subtle red ring on the digital crown to denote the cellular status.

The Apple Watch Series 4 Updates

First upgrade is the face size. We have been dealing with 38mm or 42mm screen. Its been fine but its not great. I need a big display, like full forearm sized display. I know i’m getting ridiculous but Apple will be offering a bigger display on the watch. From what i’m hearing a 46mm display will be the standard. The larger screen means there’s now room to show even more information, and there appears to be nine complications visible on the new watch face. It will also sport a  nearly edge-to-edge, possibly bezel-less design. As you can guess it will have a slimmer size than the previous versions. Apple loves getting slimmer.

    The Final Thought

That is what we know so far, but what about what we want. Im going to highlight 2 unverified and completely desired features Id like to see in the Apple Watch series 4. First, A video projector, yeah. I want to beam videos out of my watch like some Syfy madman. It would be cool, but I dont know how they would keep the heat from the projector light from burning your wrist.  2nd feature id love to see is a holographic display. A 3d holographic display even. Come on Apple, wow us, make me buy the Apple Watch series 4.

  • Beau’s App Review: Paper.io 2

    Beau’s App Review: Paper.io 2

Beau’s App series. Each week, I install whatever is the No. 1 bestselling app on the iOS or Android store and review it, to save you the effort in case it’s total waste of life. This week the sequel to paper.io a game called paper.io 2 is in the top spot and we are gonna talk about it. Why isn’t it No. 1? not sure, its a very simple and basic game but it’s free. So let take a look and see what has this game rocketing to the top of the charts.

    The Paper.io 2 Game

The latest twist on multiplayer growth game “Agar.io” has arrived, with “paper.io 2”. It is from French publisher Voodoo. Enter the arena and face the other holes in a fierce battle. You set out a small color round space that you expand by gaining territory and looping it back to your hole. You can eliminate or be eliminated but knocking in to an opponent’s trail or having yours knocked into. The goal is to increase your size and Knock out your opponents for a score boost.

The Final Thought On Paper.io 2

While I have enjoyed the game a lot over the past few days, its addicting as it is frustrating. One thing in particular I think I am enjoying is that you and your opponents don’t all start out at the same time. Everyone is loaded in randomly and rapidly, so as soon as you know someone out someone else is spawning in. I have been working on strategies for about 3 days now. So far I cannot get past 10%, so I tried only hunting down opponents, just circling the perimeter and I tried just building my area with small loops. So far none seem viable. Let me know what you come up with in the comments.

  • Tech Throwback: Top 5 Nintendo Games

Tech Throwback: Top 5 Nintendo Games

I like to take a look at where I’ve been to evaluate where Im going. Technology is cyclical after all… wait no its not. That said I still like all the feels that come rushing back like a flood of nostalgia every time I get my hand on the tech I grew up with. Im going to go back periodically and take a looking at the stuff that used to blow our hair back and get our minds rolling. Some of these device blew up and changed the world, some where ahead of their time and some just fell flat and became colossal failures. Today I’m powering up the original Nintendo to play the best old school Top 5 nintendo games.

    1.Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out

We all spent a decade playing the best boxing game ever invented. From the first time you got to play it at the skating rink arcade to the day you got that wonder little grey disc with the legendary Digital Mike Tyson on the cover there just has never been a better boxing game. Loads of great opponents from Piston Honda,Don Flamenco and  Soda Popinski to the great Mike Tyson. Each presented their own challenge and forced you to modify your game to conquer your opponent. It was as challenging as it was fun and beating the champ was truly a great accomplishment.

    2.Hogan’s Ally

This is a simple-minded exercise that is built around the idea that shooting bad guys is fun. It’s true, shooting bad guys is indeed fun, but instead of animating characters or creating real backgrounds, Hogan’s Alley just tosses 8-bit recreations of cardboard cut-outs. It was the best game you could play using the light gun.

    3.The Legend Of Zelda

Oh the time I spent playing this game. Take Link through a series of maze like 8 bit levels, upgrade weapons and gain health stamina. Collect magic items all to help your quest of freeing the princess Zelda. When this game launched in 1987 it was a game changer for RPG games, it combined a fantasy world with the puzzles of the text based computer games and they action of the new 8 bit systems and created action role playing. A masterpiece that will be in the annals of video game history for the rest of humanity.

    4. Tecmo SuperBowl

I know we have been talking about Madden a lot recently, but please tell me you didn’t forget the original grid iron classic. Released 25 years ago next month, Tecmo Super Bowl provided the ultimate in sports geek wish fulfillment. Plus…. Bo Jackson. For a Raiders fan in the 90s named Beau.. he was the hero. If you were not using Bo and the Raiders in Tecmo Superbowl.. You where doing it wrong. His legend spawned his avatar, This game is in turn the legend of who Bo Jackson is. Pure, 8bit football madness.

    5.Kid Icarus

Kid Icarus is a classic Nintendo title, a platformer whose titular character has gathered a cult following of fans over the past 20 years. The game itself is pretty cool. Pit’s platforming adventure through Angel Land was the sister game to Metroid. Both had a lot of elements and programmers in common, but Kid Icarus stuck to a tradition style of level progression.  It was a close call for number 5 in my top 5 Nintendo games, but Kid Icarus is def better then Metroid..He is the boy who could fly.

The Final Top 5 Nintendo Games Thought

While this is only a top 5 of my own personal opinion, that’s what makes it great. Every one has those  beloved top 5 Nintendo games… Whats yours?

  • The New iPhone and What to Expect

The New iPhone and What to Expect

As Apple’s September 12th event draws near, more supposed leaks and rumors about the 2018 iPhone lineup make headlines. I’ve been sifting through all the data and I have a good summery of what to expect while we are expecting a new iPhone.

iPhone Xs , iPhone Xs Plus and iPhone 9

I’m fairly confident in this, we have seen sufficient enough data to know there will be 3 new versions. A next gen x, and x plus and a cheaper iPhone model that will be a hybrid of the 8 and the x. S is always the naming indicator of the iPhone half step models and I don’t think that will be any different here. Why 9, why not 10? I have found a quick excerpt to explain this..

In a one on one chat with himself one of my favorite tech gurus’ breaks down the naming convention of the new iPhone.

    Why would you release a 9 after a 10 — or, rather, an X?

Ah, but you’ll tell me there’ll be three phones. Ergo, one of the smaller, cheaper phones might be iPhone 9.

Oh, I suppose. But this still sounds like less.

Let’s assume — oh, come on, it’s all assumption — that Apple will release smaller and bigger versions of the iPhone X, as well as a completely new(ish) phone.

So, one could be iPhone XS, the other iPhone XL. And the big one could be iPhone XI. Or, of course, iPhone 11.
Now doesn’t that all have a lovely ring to it?

Extra small, extra large — but definitely extra — and a, um, revolutionary new one.

    See? Positive thinking.

Detractors will scold me for my apparent lack of Latin. iPhone XL, they’ll sniff, would be iPhone 40.

They’ll insist it has to be iPhone X Plus, because that would follow the convention of previous pluses like the iPhone 8 Plus.

But it’s cumbersome. And why would you want a cumbersome name for your potentially most cumbersome phone?

It’s so sad and refreshing that this actually makes a lot of sense. I would position that it is more likely that Apple will go with 8C rather than 9. It’s an alliteration on the iPhone not a new model. Just a low end version on an 8 and a X. Then again that does average out to 9. I guess it will have to remain and iPhone day surprise.

New Colors  for a New iPhone

The biggest confirmed change is that the new iPhone XS models will come in a new Gold color option, complete with a gold stainless steel band, as shown below. The upcoming Series 4 Apple Watch was leaked as well, showing a matching gold stainless steel frame. Now you can call me crazy but I think the iPhone 8c, I mean 9 will come in an assortment of colors. Red, Blue, ect all in a metallic finish.

    The Other Stuff

From what I have gathered it would be safe to say we will see a new composite glass introduced from corning. Last year a $200 million investment from the Advanced Manufacturing Fund investment pool, to support a new revolutionary glass production methods. Well that should be maturing and coming to fruition. There should be a new type of glass produced for the new phones. It will still be glass so do get crazy, it will shatter.

USB- C chargers and a new Qi coil for faster Wireless charging. These are out there and there is no reason for apple to avoid these implementations.

    The Final Thought

Leaks and well informed rumors are pretty common during this part of apples annual iPhone dance. However much we think we know Apple still finds a way to catch us by surprise and drop something fantastic we didn’t even know about. Guess I’ll see you all next Tuesday..

  • Top 5 Madden Years

    Top 5 Madden Years

Its All Madden all week. We are taking the time to celebrate the most storied video game franchise the world has or will ever see. This game has single handedly changed America’s pastime from baseball to football. It has captivated 2 generations of men for 30 years. A lot of people’s favorite Madden is the one they played first or the most as a kid. This generally iterate on a formula in such a way that it can be difficult to distinguish between the different versions. From its roots in strategic play creation to the introduction of a full-fledged story mode in last year’s game, there are features that are usually lauded more than the games themselves. But what if you had to pick the best one? Lets take a look at the Top 5 best Madden Years and the Best players in those games.

    1.Madden 11: Chris Johnson

THis was the year it all came together, Defensive controls, hit sticks, 11 had it all. Madden was hitting a peak with now where left to climb, then EA created Madden NFL 11, an iteration of the series that is built more with the mainstream fan in mind, while still not losing any of the hardcore-focused accoutrements that have made their way into the package in past years. This was the year your AI teammates would actually land successful blocks and hold them long enough for you to utilize them if you can read the defense correctly.

MAddens best player in 11, hands down Chris Johnson. Step One: Wait for blockers.  Two: Press turbo like your life depended on it. Step Three: Score. That’s how unfair CJ2K was in Madden.

    2.Madden 2002 Best Player: Ray Lewis 99*

Madden 2002 was the second title in the franchise to be released on the 6th generation consoles. Madden NFL 2001 was by far the most graphically impressive football game to date, and Madden 2002 supported the upgraded visuals with the inclusion of several features that fans raved over. The addition of importable draft classes. Madden had been releasing a little over a month after its collegiate counterpart NCAA Football each year, but never before had the games had any sort of crossover. Now it did.

    3.Madden 2004 : Michael Vick

You don’t have to look much farther than the cover to understand what made this iteration of Madden so great. Michael Vick. Those two words create two emotions in long-time fans of the franchise. Either the joyful memories of running for hundreds of yards on your opponent because they couldn’t keep the former Falcons quarterback from making big plays, or the feeling of frustration as that red and black blur went streaking past your defenders on his way to yet another touchdown. Vick is the only thing we remember from this iteration but this was the version that got all the 6th gen features and functions right.

It’s true. Michael Vick received no 99 overall ratings from EA Sports. And yet … he’s hands-down the greatest Madden player of all time. His 2004 avatar was invincible. He had the arm strength to hit Peerless Price on deep route after deep route or Brian Finneran over the middle (just flip the play because Vick’s a lefty). He had the speed and acceleration to roll around the field with immunity.

Vick was to Madden as Bo Jackson was to Tecmo Bowl. He was a cheat code in a football jersey.

    4.Madden 05 : Ray Lewis

its release that year was nothing to be scoffed at, and it shipped with a feature that changed the way that people play the the game still today: The hit stick. If Madden 2004 was the year of dynamic offensive plays with Michael Vick, 2005 was the year of dominant defensive plays from the leagues best defenders. Mapped to the right thumbstick, a well-timed flick into a ball carrier could have devastating results: fumbles, injuries, and just those kind of hits that get people out of their seats. Cover athlete Ray Lewis was one of the most terrifying linebackers to ever play the position, and Madden 2005 allowed players to strike the same kind of fear in their virtual opponents.

Ray Lewis was 99 many times over the  Madden years and rightfully so. This year was a big focus on defense, they needed to combat the Mike Vick fiasco of 04. Only one thing to do, release the terrifying Ray Lewis.

    5.Madden 95 : Barry Sanders

While the gameplay of the franchise hit its stride three years prior, improvements came in Madden NFL 95 in the form of the actual NFL and player licenses. The previous year had NFL teams, but no player names or attempts at likenesses. Madden NFL 95 changed that, and was the sports game to play for a long time.

EA enjoyed quite a bit of success on the early generation of consoles even though it was unable to use real player and team names. Madden NFL ’94 saw the inclusion of the NFL License which meant that, for the first time in franchise history, the game was able to include the city and mascot of a team’s real life counterpart.

Also lets have moment of silence for all the cracked T.V. screens Sanders forced in the early days of ‘Madden.’ His in-game cutting and juking ability are still unrivaled.

    The Final Madden Years Thought

We all know the best year is always the current year, graphics and play get better every year. Madden keeps getting better every year, but that doesn’t mean that a time and place doesn’t line up for us all and produce a legendary incarnation of our favorite game.

  • Tech Throwback: Madden 94

    Tech Throwback: Madden 94

Its that time of the week I like to take a look at where I’ve been to evaluate where I’m going. Technology is cyclical after all… wait no its not. That said I still like all the feels that come rushing back like a flood of nostalgia every time I get my hand on the tech I grew up with. I’m going to go back periodically and take a looking at the stuff that used to blow our hair back and get our minds rolling. Some of these device blew up and changed the world, some were ahead of their time and some just fell flat and became colossal failures. Today and this week it’s all about Madden, let’s go back, not to the beginning, but to where it all really started, Madden 94.

John Madden Football. Madden, for short. Video game fans everywhere are familiar with Madden, regardless of whether they’re sports video game fans or not. Once a year, for the past 30 years and counting, a new Madden game hits store shelves and sells millions of units. There are Madden tournaments broadcast on television. Retail stores open at midnight to sell the game to eager players. Madden, more than any other sports video game in the United States, is a phenomenon.

     The New New Madden 94

Madden 94 was the break out year, not just is popularity but Madden Football ’94 improves significantly off the first Madden game for the SNES and Genesis. Rather than being a jerky mess, this actually has a decent frame rate, and it makes defense work a bit better. Though largely made obsolete after subsequent versions, it was an outstanding football game for the time. In a mega addition this is the first version to get NFL licensing, meaning you can finally play with your team and real players. More on this below

The ’94-’95 seasons for EA Sports’ franchise were largely innovated by numerous gameplay features like a battery-save feature and perspective-switching of the camera for kickoffs, punts, and turnovers. Nonetheless, the most important addition to the series can be seen in the title: the NFL license.

Teams but No Numbers, I Know Who #32 is

Acquiring the official licensing for teams and players brought the excitement of professional football to gaming like never before. In fact, Madden NFL ’94 was the first game to use the iconic EA Sports tagline, “It’s in the Game.” Although there were some bugs involved, like the Giants/Jets rosters being swapped, this season was huge for Madden and EA Sports.

Madden ’94 does not feature the names of the players but does have the roster of each team by jersey number. You can still play as your favorite football player from the 1993 season (remember that each Madden title is a year ahead) although the players do not have any certain visible characteristics that set them apart from other players.

While you can tell who you are playing as by the number highlighted under the character that you selected. The characters on the screen are only identifiable by the color of their team’s jersey. Madden ’94 is played in an angled top down view behind the offensive team. You get plenty of time to choose a play and can even run audibles to change the lineup if your opponent seems to have your number on the other side.

    Playing Madden 94 Again

I powered up the old Sega Genesis I got my nephews to get hands on with Madden 94 again. I spent all of 1995 sick, battling cancer and recovering while playing Madden 94. My best friend at the time would spend almost all out of school time hanging out and playing me in Madden. He would die in an car accident just a year later. To say This game truly has a special place in my heart is an understatement. Its one that I forgot about or possibly blocked out until the very second it powered on.

The muscle memory instantly kicks in and I know the navigation through the menus like it’s an instinct. I grew up a Raiders fan and that is the only team I would play with.. Today is no different.  I jump right in to play a season and take Da Raiders to the Bowl. I played an entire season in one night, smiles and tears and enjoying every moment of it. They were all here, all my little digital friend with the big heart. Just battling it out for a super bowl in 32 bits. A truly joyus, amazing and much needed replay.

    The Final Thought

All emotions aside there is not much that really detracts from Madden ’94. I was certainly pleased with how much was put into this game with a full season. Plus the using passwords to keep your progress and the inclusion of playoff and championship modes, choice. You can do everything in Madden ’94 except create your own team or a do a draft. You can expect to find just about everything else in this game though. They even included an option to turn off John Madden’s commentary, and for that you became a legend.

  • Game Review: Madden 19

    Game Review: Madden 19

We have all been saddened by the news of the shooting at the Madden tournament in Jacksonville this last week. Upon hearing the news and grieving I started to realize this is the first time in over 25 years I have not purchased and played my all-time favorite video game and my longest held past time. Well now that needs to be rectified, if only for traditions sake. I immediately ran to the closest video game vendor, Target in my case, and purchased the latest copy. I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you my thoughts and reactions to the latest installment, Madden 19.

    Its So Beautiful

To kick off this review, Madden 19 looks absolutely stunning. The Frostbite engine recreates players’ bodies and faces to a level of realism seldom seen in video gaming. The animations on field, both during plays and after, could easily fool an observer that they were watching a real football game on TV. The new moves and animations, dubbed Real Player Motion, make the players move and react like real NFL stars, which works well, though it’s far from perfect. Some of the new “trucking” and “cutting” moves aren’t as intuitive as they should be, forcing the player to press buttons to initiate, and a small amount of lag means that there is a learning curve just to run the ball, even though the remaining players execute the play and create a gaping hole. A hole so big yo momma could…. Ill stop, its hard not to get carried away with the trash talk while in full madden mode.

Now I Got a lot of Beefs Too

SO for the first time in many a many years, Madden 19 is available on the PC. Super, lets go PC route this year. I mean why not? Hold on little guys ill tell you why not. Its terrible….. I love this game, don’t get me wrong but] coming from a PC gamer who’s been patiently waiting for Madden to return to the platform for a decade or so. To say the least my expectations are high, I’m running a stellar Alienware rig with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card with 4 GB, should be adequate… Not for this Madden 19 monster it isn’t. Lags, freezing, lags freezing, crash. Disappointment.

I uninstalled, re-purchased through Origin. They key is Origin, similar to Steam, operated by EA I believe. You can redeem your code on the EA or Origin website under account. I’m new to Origin (EA isn’t smart enough to allow on Steam IMO), so I had to download their digital management software. Went to game library, and then started the download. Very easy. Now you can play the game with mouse/keyboard or with Xbox One controller. Others stated it’s not compatible, but in game controller settings clearly shows the Xbox One controller. Not sure if it matters, but I’m on Windows 10 with latest updates. Note: Make sure your controller is connected prior to launching the game.

    Longshot Mode

The big addition is the continuation of the Longshot story which kicked off last year. Longshot: Homecoming sees Devin Wade struggling as a Dallas Cowboy and Colt Cruise back in Mathis, dealing with an expected discovery of a half-sister. These two stories play out as a “playable movie”, challenging any preconceived notions of what can be done in a “sports video game.” It’s a nice alternative to the constant grinding of playing games in Franchise and MUT, or even exhibition against the CPU, co-op, or online.
