Apple is always up to some fantastic things, Making headlines and straight surprising us with out of the box ideas. Apple News is plentiful and fascinating so here is a quick look at a few things Apple is up to today. Also it help as you are reading these to do so in Walter Cronkite’s voice.

Killer Battery

First up the Iphone Max demolishes the Samsung Note 9 in a battery test. While shocking news to all smartphone aficionados, all of us have know this for a few weeks if you read my Iphone XS max review.  What is new news is that in another test we see the iPhone XS Max beat out the Note 9, Google Pixel 3 XL, and Sony Xperia XZ3. The XS Max has the smallest battery capacity of all four phones and was still able to come out on top. Boom, great work Apple, Im still getting almost 3 days out of mine.

Adobe Collaboration

Next up Apple’s marketing head Phil Schiller made an unannounced appearance at Adobe’s MAX conference on Monday. He surprisingly took the stage to tell us about the upcoming Photoshop CC for iPad. Then proceeded to remark on  the companies’ ongoing collaboration. While he cant get in to a lot of detail he did say “Adobe has understood the potential of the iPad Pro,” and that the companies’ teams have been “working together on some really amazing technology.” He didn’t elaborate on that last point except to say today’s MAX announcements are “the beginnings” of what Apple and Adobe can produce.

The Apple Watch and a New Knee?

Finally get this, Apple is teaming up with medical device company Zimmer Biomet for a new clinical study and Apple Watch app. They say the Apple watch can get information to  better understand how patients should prepare for, and recover from, common knee and hip replacement procedures. The Apple Watch will track steps and heart rate data, allowing patients to share that information with their doctors to provide a clearer picture of how they’re doing after surgery and to analyze potential setbacks. Pretty brilliant, simple and with enough people wearing that should yield some vital information fairly quickly.
